Ned Foley

Ned Foley operates Two Particular Acres, a family farm in Western Montgomery County right in the heart of suburban Philadelphia. As part of his normal farming operations, he began composting the manures of his own and his neighbors' farms many years ago. In an effort to make his farming operations economical and with a sincere desire to avoid "selling out" to a developer, Ned applied for and received the very first On-Farm Compost Permit issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP"). Despite the farm's name, Ned grows 10 acres of malting barley for Double Eagle, and has many more available for future.
